Welcome.  My name is Carolyn McIlraith and I am a counsellor with over 19 years experience.  I work in private practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at The Practice, Level 6, 85 The Terrace, Wellington City. 

 

I am currently studying a Master of Counselling at The University of Waikato Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato.  The requirements of this study will involve recording (audio and video) some of our sessions together (only with your consent), to deepen my understanding and learning of Narrative Therapy.  These recordings are shared with my Supervisors and Lecturers.

Seeing a counsellor can feel like a challenging step to take but it is often a positive one.  There is much to gain from being able to talk through issues that have been causing you concern.  We will work together to reduce the impacts of stressors in your life and build upon your strengths and resiliency.  I look forward to working with you.
